Friday Favourites #3

Fireworks

This one's a bit off topic but I just love them too much not to put them in my favourites this week. Fireworks are one of my all time favourite bands. After what felt like ages, but in reality was probably only a year, they finally came back to the U.K this week to play a handful of headline shows leading up to Slam Dunk weekend. Usually these type of things occur whilst I'm at work but thankfully, I'm on my two weeks annual leave from work so I booked to see them in Kingston and since I hadn't been to this city in so long, also Cardiff. I feel like this band have always been so severely underrated - they play absolutely perfect pop-punk that isn't at all much like anything else around at the moment. Watch the video and enjoy.

I'm so in love with this lady's Etsy shop it's unreal! Candy Doll Club is full of really cute necklaces, stickers, postcards and just really lovely bits and bobs. The general theme around her shop is really bright and colourful and quite kawaii-esque, it's generally just adorable to be honest. I ordered a 'surprise bag' from her store just because I was interested in seeing what I'd get and the package was so lovely! It was such a personal post to receive and Jade even wrote me a lovely note. I got a pocket mirror as well as this lush necklace amongst stickers and art prints.

This is what I'm reading now I've finished American Gods by Neil Gaiman. I have to say that this has become one of the most addictive books I've read in ages, so much so that I've had to slow myself down because I don't want to read it too quick. The story is based on a woman who gets the same commuter train into London everyday and she always spots the same house, until one day something is different. To be honest, it's just a really easy read. If you read and liked Gone Girl, then you'll most likely love this book too.
