Everybody's favourite time of the year is just around the corner! Personally, I love Christmas. I do get a little weirded out by how, year by year, the Christmas stock seems to put out earlier. I'm sure I've seen stuff being put on the shelf by the end of august?!
I do enjoy the atmosphere though. I love the decorations. I've already been into central London to look at the lights on Oxford Street, enjoying the view in the Selfridges windows.
This year is the first one where I am on a proper "grown up" wage and where I can afford to really treat my favourite people. Where last year, I was only working part time at Sainsbury's, I could only afford to buy pretty small budget presents for a select few people; this year, I've gone a bit mad.
I'm more about giving presents this year rather than receiving them, but getting presents is always wonderful and you always seem to contemplate how you have so many amazing people in your life, who know you so well when it comes to presents.
I would never expect anyone to buy these next 5 items for me for Christmas, because I can get them myself. I am lusting after them, but I'm being stringent when it comes to money now.
Urban Decay - On The Run palette. £37
This has been out just a few weeks and I think it's a great idea. Take a selection of fantastic UD products; blush, bronzer, eyeshadow, mascara, lipgloss and eyeliner and put it all into a little compact box and you no longer need to carry around a load of different items when you are on the go. I find myself ending up packing all of my make up where ever I go and it's heavy and frustrating. This little darling carries a combination of every thing and is fantastic if you don't have the space for anything else.
What Katie Did - Morticia Corset - £159.50
I've been lusting after this corset for months and it's killing me that I don't have it! I've seen these corsets on the likes of Georgina Horne from Fuller Figure Fuller Bust and she absolutely SLAYS. I don't think I'd look anywhere near as good but if I could just a little tiny bit, I'd be set forever!
Parks and Recreation mini colouring book - £6.90
Ahhhhhhhh my god. I just discovered this a couple of days ago and it's so cute! I love stuff like this because I find colouring and drawing eases my anxiety and distracts me from silly thoughts. I think it would be a brilliant stocking filler.
Etsy is one of my favourite places because people are so creative when it comes to making things and you get the satisfaction of buying from independent people rather than big retailers.
Dita Von Teese - Madame X lingerie
Bra £32 - Suspender Belt - £25 - Briefs - £20
Bra £32 - Suspender Belt - £25 - Briefs - £20
Dita Von Teese is one of my favourite women and I look up to and adore everything about her. Ever since she brought out her own lingerie range, I've been lusting after every single piece. Sadly, I've never been able to justify spending over a £100 on a lingerie set. Maybe one day!
Babyliss Curl Secret - £100
My dear old mum told me about this little contraption. I watched ReeRee Rockette's YouTube tutorial/review on how to use it, and I'm so curious to try it! I've pretty much always struggled finding the right technique to curl my hair with and this looks so simple. At £100, I'm a little hesitant to spend it on something I may or may not get on with, but the idea is bloody great.
Well that's my top 5 christmas wishes. My main focus of the next year is to save for a house with my boyfriend and that will eventually be the best Christmas of all :)
