Wishlist Wednesday: Collectif Edition

1. Olive Knitted Dress - £56
When the subscription email for this dress landed in my emails and I opened it, I instantly fell in love. I've got to say that it's a kind of dress that would be venturing a little out of my comfort zone in terms of fit and shape, but it's stunning. To look at, it's so elegant and classy yet so simple. However, I fear I'm much too short for a dress like this and it may be one I'll be wishing for from afar. Can someone please buy it so I can live vicariously through you? Thanks in advance.

2. Rachel Check Travel Bag - £40
Confession: I don't actually own a mid century/50s style bag and I legitimately don't even have a reason why. Bags are always something I tend to overlook because I subconsciously would rather spend my money on dresses/skirts and a top but I often forget how much a bag can complete an outfit. I'd love to be able to change that and this bag is absolutely stunning. In fact, it would look so great with the olive knitted dress!  The green of the dress and the bag together would make such a stunning autumnal look.

3. Hollie Lurex Wiggle Dress - £83.50
Carrying on with the green theme, now THIS is the dress of my dreams. I had no idea how much I needed this dress until I actually saw it. Lurex is a material type that took a lot for me to grow to love but now I have, oh boy do I love it. It's so sexy and sophisticated, a perfect outfit to pair with a set of heels for a night out on cocktails.

4. Darlene Plain Doll Dress - £39.00
This is simply the cutest and loveliest dress I've seen in a while and I couldn't decide if I loved the navy or red colour more. I'm always on the look out for a nice dress like this can be quite versatile in regards to being dressed up and down. I think anyone could make this style work for both day and night.

5. Isobel Fluffy Jumper - £35.00
You might have seen this post from just over a week ago where I am wearing a similar fluffy jumper to this Collectif one. The reason why I'm eyeing this one up is because it's cropped and looks a bit tighter and I imagine it looking AMAZING paired with some cigarette trousers. Tops like this are so ideal for the cooler weather as they still look so fabulous and can stay warm.

6. Polly Sherwood Checked Skirt - £30.00
I'm lacking pencil skirts in my wardrobe and this tartan style one is absolutely perfect for the upcoming winter and one I could see myself wearing on Christmas Day.

Wishlist Wednesday #13

1) Ultra Metals Revolution Brushes (full collection), Make Up Revolution - £34.95
An undisputed dupe for the Real Techniques 'Bold Metals' brushes, Make Up Revolution are here to offer up their budget version. From the reviews I've read, these are supposed to be amazing and the full collection costs less than two of the Real Techniques BM brushes together. My heart is absolutely crying out for these beauties.

2) Flamingo brooch, Erstwilder - $29.95
I realised this is sold out everywhere but I love love love it and I need to find it somewhere. I'm addicted to flamingos and I really just can't get enough of them in my life! I feel as if Erstwilder brooches are forever on my wishlists and for good reason - they're beautiful and add pizz zazz (I can't believe I just wrote that) to any outfit.

3) LG Smart TV 42" - £399
So when I put this together I didn't have this TV and the next thing I know, my finger slipped and I bought it. However, it's too late to change it so here we are. But what I can say, this TV is everything I hoped for! I mounted it on my bedroom wall (as seen in my last post) and it's been amazing ever since. I put some movies and tv shows on an external hard drive, attached it to the back of my TV and have been binge watching in bed ever since. It's really romantic!

4) Bluebella Ines bra £30 and matching brief £18 via Playful Promises
I'm a sucker for a soft cup bra and this set on the Playful Promises site really caught my attention. I find it both delicate yet striking as well as being cute and sexy. You can't ask for much more from a lingerie set can you? My first thought did turn to "but I have no one to wear it for?!" which was very forcefully beaten out of my head 2 seconds later by a thought that followed along the lines of "WHO CARES, YOU'LL LOOK SO HOT JUST STAND IN FRONT OF THE MIRROR!" Good idea second thought, good idea. I think it's important to do things for yourself and not wonder about other people. I think this might help me ;)

5) GoPro - from £94.00
I've been eyeing up these bad boys for a good while now and it's safe to say I really really reeeeally want one. I want to get into YouTube and vlogging properly and these are bloody great for filming everyday videos. I probably wouldn't use it on the more adventurous scale as they're more intended but I think I'd also enjoy taking one on holiday. I'm tempted to get one for my trip to America in January but we'll have to see.

6) Final Cut Pro X - Apple Store - £229.99
Following on from talking about YouTube videos and wanting a GoPro, I also want to invest in FCP. I used this software throughout my media studies course so I already know my way around it and I absolutely love editing. Like the GoPro, it won't be something I'll be looking into getting for a very long time though because I need to make sure I can commit to filming videos first.

Wishlist Wednesday #12

I haven't done a wishlist in a while so welcome back! I haven't bought anything from Pinup Girl Clothing in such a long time, it's almost depressing me. However, since I've booked a trip to L.A in January I've decided to not import anything and just go to their boutique when I'm out there. It's ridiculously tempting to just order right away as there are so many bits that I'm currently crrrraaaaving.

1) Betsey Johnson, Call Me! Bag - $100
Uh, just look at it? a phone bag? this is so ridiculously kitsch and I need it now. I reckon this is a 'stop in the street and mention how good it is' type of bag because I would definitely be doing that if I saw someone else wearing this. However, retailing at $100, it's one I'll definitely be saving a while for.

2) Betsey Johnson, Just Your Type Typewriter Pure - $114
This bag is totally trashy in allll of the right ways. It's attention grabbing, stylish but also practical at the same time. I'm a total lover of loud prints like this, I guess I just like the attention huh? Anyway, not only is it cute but it's large enough to carry a lot of your belongings around making this perfect for me for work (not that I need an excuse).

3) Match Accessories, 'D' Disney Inspired Brooch - $22
I can't help but want a beautiful Disney type brooch in my life. Blue and glittery, it's the perfect companion to brighten up any outfit and it's simply gorgeous.

4) Deadly Dames, Darling Dame Fetish Skirt - $98
I've been noticing this skirt floating around on a few blogs recently and I wasn't aware of it's existence until I'd read about it. It looks so similar to the Jenny skirt but this has a shorter hemline and with pockets. Yay, pockets! I'm not entirely sure I can ever pull off red but the 'fetish' print has totally sold me. It's definitely one that'll get weird comments and that's what I like.

5) Burlesque Jenny Skirt - $98
Keeping on with the risque theme, I've had my eye on the dress version of this skirt for a good while now and have just noticed the skirt too. I'm a big fan of the Jenny skirt anyway, but this print is so dreamy!

6) Blue Castle Print Jenny Skirt - $98
Another one I've been admiring for a while but unfortunately is sold out in my size. If I had it I'd pair it with the Peasant top, which sadly, is also sold out in my size, and the 'D' brooch I mentioned above. I'm imagining the outfit together in my head and it sounds so perfect, like a princess. Here's to hoping they get restocked.

So those are my current wishlist picks. What are you after?

Wishlist Wednesday #11 | Lindy Bop edition.

I've decided to make this weeks 'Wishlist Wednesday' a Lindy Bop special because I feel they have upped their dress game so much recently as all I've been after is these amazing dresses. I love to blog about Lindy Bop because as they have fantastic customer relations; there's something about a brand that appreciates it's customers, especially through social media, that makes a company stand out for me. Because of this, they are definitely one of my vintage reproduction brands to buy from.

1. 'Colette' Yellow Gingham Swing Dress - £34.99
It's never too late in the year to purchase a summery gingham dress. Well, it has become a confusing September; it feels like it's been slightly warmer and summery in the last two days than the entirety of August and let's be honest, I hope it stays that way. So anyway, this design is just stunning and at only £34.99 it's a real bargain. I can imagine that this dress is an absolute dream to dress up. The 'Colette' is a new addition to the Lindy Bop collection and comes in four colour ways, and I'll be making sure that I snap up all of them.

2. 'Audrey' Red Check Swing Dress - £29.99
The beauty of this red check 'Audrey' is accentuated by the cute bateau neckline, a totally fitted bodice and skirt that flares out. I haven't really fancied any of the other prints/colours in the 'Audrey' style before, but I know they look incredible on other people and this pattern is just so gorgeous I think it's actually convinced me otherwise about wanting one.

3. Tuesday Pink Coral Doris Day Swing Dress - £34.99
Okay when I saw this dress I immediately screamed inside. I mean LOOK AT IT; it is absolute perfection and if a dress could sum up the word 'adorable' this would be it. It should be the picture representative of the word 'adorable' in the dictionary. What's not to love? the coral colour is so elegant - and actually a colour I don't wear enough - but I've really fallen for the cut out neckline and the peter pan style collar. I totally have the perfect shoes to wear with this one too, it was like they were meant to be.

4. 'Edith' Green and Navy Floral Shirt Dress - £29.99
I've been admiring this dress because it looks like it could be quite versatile; going from a day dress to an evening one depending on the type of shoes and accessories you may be rocking. However, I also have yet to own a proper shirt dress and this looks like a good one to buy if I'm not sure about splashing out on a much coveted Vivien of Holloway one just yet. I totally envision myself wearing this to a diner, it just has that feel.

5. 'Xandra' Ditzy Deer Summer Dress - £29.99
What a sweet sweet print this dress has; adorned in little pastel coloured deers, this is definitely one for me as I'm a big kitsch print lover as well as being quite fond of deer. My need for this is only encouraged by it being in my ultimate favourite colour, pastel blue. Although it comes with the dress, I'm generally not a fan of Lindy Bop's included as they can feel too flimsy, I think that's okay though because I can always just add my own to create a smaller waist.

6. 'Henrietta' Sky Blue Wiggle Dress - £29.99
I'm already loving Lindy Bop's 'Heidi' version of this dress that has been out for a long while now so it's no surprise to myself that I have this one on my wishlist too. I almost prefer this dress more as it has the added peplum detail around the waist and I generally think it makes dresses a little more glamorous. The colours are astounding; the flashes of red against the blue work so well and will definitely liven up any room you'd wear this in.

*Links in this post are only used for informational and guidance purposes and are in no way affiliated. I have not been sponsored/paid/gifted in anyway for this post, I just love Lindy Bop!

Wishlist Wednesday #10

1) 'Hazel' Floral Swing Dress by Lindy Bop, £34.99
Lindy Bop are really killing it lately! They've been slowly adding new dresses to their collection and after buying a couple of the 'Marlene' dresses, this is the one I now have my eye on. As always, I'm a great lover of floral prints; however, what I think attracted my attention to this was the structure and style of the dress. It looks very comfortable with sleeves that cover the top parts of your arms and shoulders making it a perfect dress for the slightly colder weather we're having.

2) Pink Petticoat by Vivien Of Holloway, £59
Vivien of Holloway petticoats are by far the best I've worn so far but they are a little on the pricey side. However, I always maintain that they are SO worth the money. They are so full and fluffy, they feel incredible to wear which is something I haven't felt with cheaper alternatives. Now admittedly, I've not gotten my own, I usually steal my mum's (thanks!) but when I finally invest in my own, I want this lovely pink colour.

3) 'Gracey' Dress by Voodoo Vixen, £44.99
You know me, can't stay away from gingham, can I?! It's just so gorgeous, not to mention that the sweetheart neckline is adorable and something that I always love in a dress. 'Gracey' is a little shorter than most dresses I normally wear, but where's the harm in mixing things up once in a while? I'm going on holiday in over a month and I just think it would make such pretty day time wear. It's been a while since I've bought a Voodoo Vixen dress and I always love the quality and reasonable prices of their clothing so hopefully I'll be able to get this one sometime soon.

4) 'Ariel' Nautical Swing Dress by Hell Bunny, $46
Ugh, I love this. I love nautical themes and I especially LOVE deep v necklines on a dress. It reminds me so much of Voodoo Vixen's nautical dresses so much that at first I thought it was a VV dress. Much like VV though, Hell Bunny's dresses are so reasonably priced for the quality you get. With a gorgeous gathered swing skirt that flows out from a nipped in waistline, you also get lipstick pockets. That's right, lipstick pockets!!! This dress is currently on sale at Unique Vintage so grab it if you can.

Something I've wanted in my life for a while now is a big chunky statement necklace and boy, is this a good one. Did you know you can now order from Erstwilder's website after a revamp which opens you up to more options? fab! I prefer ordering from Audrey Star's Boutique personally, but I know it's helpful knowing you can order straight from Erstwilder themselves when you can't find what you want in other retailer's online shops. A perfect mix of pastel colours and pure kitschey-ness (not a word but I'm making it one), this is a perfect accessory for brightening up any outfit!

6) Photoshoot by The Pin Up Academy
So I'm surprised I haven't added this one on sooner but I REALLY want to do my first Pin Up photoshoot. It's something I've been thinking about for a long time as I'd quite like to do an odd bit of modelling here and there so I'd really love to start a portfolio. The Pin Up Academy have an incredible set up which has different styles of sets and beautiful H&MU from the amazing October Divine who also helps guide you through your photos. Photography is by internationally published Si Pin Up Photographer who is amazing! This is definitely something I have to do in the future, but as I'm currently saving for a house, it's not possible but once that's done this will be at the top of my list!

Wishlist Wednesday #9

I haven't got the money at the moment to spend money on a dress this much but I can dream though right? There won't be a week where one item from Pinup Girl Clothing isn't on one of my wishlists so I'm afraid this is probably a little predictable! What I love about this dress though is that it can easily be dressed up or down and be worn as a day dress or a night one. The capped sleeves make for an adorable day look when worn with some flats whilst the bold red can be easily transitioned into a night time look with some heels.

Heart of Haute is a vintage reproduction clothing brand that I've only just recently discovered. I must have been living under a rock because I have no idea how I've missed their gorgeous dresses all this time but it's better late than never right? So I have my eye on this gorgeous green wiggle dress which is very much giving off the vibes of 'Joan from Mad Men' and as much as I don't have her body type, I'd still like to think I'd look banging in it anyway. So yeah, maybe one day I'll get to find out.

I've been after these for a while because they look amazing! I have a few pairs of capris but every person that I've seen wear these, they look incredibly flattering on. I'm really trying to build my separates collection because obviously you can mix and match to create different looks and this pair also comes with a belt and that's something I'm generally always a fan of.

4) Vivien of Holloway, swing trousers - £49 - £55
My want and ~utter~ need for these swing trousers does not limit itself to strictly this particular style; Vivien of Holloway do these style in various colours, patterns and couple of different materials so you're most definitely spoilt for choice when it comes down to picking which pair you fancy. For months I'd been after this particular denim pair but honestly, I couldn't work out whether I'd suit this style of trouser or not and whether I should stick to dresses and skirts. Fortunately, I've now decided I don't really give a rats ass whether I "suit" them or not so I need some in my life! Depending on which colour or material you go for, they range from £49 to £55 which is really reasonable when you know the high standard of clothing you're getting fron VOH.

5) Collectif, Strawberry bamboo bag - £33
I feel like I'm not a real vintage style girl without a bamboo or wicker style bag in my life. If you regularly read my wishlists, you may know I'm sucker for fruit, animals and kitsch prints in general so it shouldn't be a surprise that I've had my eye on this. Perfect for sunny afternoons either at the park or the beach, it's just so adorable but definitely out of my price range for now.

6) B.A.I.T Footwear, Beatrice pink shoes - $75
I'm forever wishing to expand my B.A.I.T Footwear collection because WHY NOT?! No but seriously, they're my favourite vintage repro footwear brand because their shoes are ridiculously cute; from flats (I'm wearing a pair right now and they are so sturdy and comfy) to heels that can both be transitioned from day time to night time and still leave your feet like they're fully intact, it's really hard not to love this brand. I love these particular style as I love the t-bar straps and the heels on the shoes are always such a perfect size that they are always comfortable, especially with the slight platform too,

That's my wishlist for this week, let me know in the comments what you are after!

Wishlist Wednesday #8

1) Regina Vintage Polka Dot dress by Collectif, £25 (on sale at the moment!)
One of the things I've loved about Collectif's Spring/Summer collection this year is how much of it is pastel colour based. If you read last week's Wishlist Wednesday, you might have read about my complete obsession over pastel colours so it's not really surprising that *here I am* again still going on about it, woops. Anyway, this dress is utterly gorgeous and although it's utterly saddening to think it won't be that long until Summer is over, I am determined to have this in my life to see me through the last warm-ish days we have left in the UK. A key feature of this dress which I adore is the sleeves which gives off a bolero style vibe.

2) Erstwilder's Dolly's Diner Americana Red brooch - Audrey Star's Boutique, £16.95
I've yet to own a Erstwilder brooch but I've been lusting after them for what feels like FOREVER. They are always so cute; a mixture of kitsch and quirky designs that are ideal for adding fun to any
outfit. I found it hard to pick just one of these brooches so please just assume that their ENTIRE collection is on my wishlist, except that this diner one is definitely at the top of this list right now.

3) Miss L Fire Nevada Pastel sandal - Campbell-Crafts, £80
Miss L Fire shoes are just far too expensive for me, wahhhh. I know I'll invest in a pair at some point but I can never really justify spending the money. I bloody love this pair and even though they are on sale at £80, I still can't afford them. It's just one of those things you have to lust at from afar. To be fair, I do that with most of their shoe collection but I really love the mixture of pastel colours on this pair.

4) Yellow Dee Dee dress by Pinup Couture - Pinup Girl Clothing, $160
Uh, can we talk about how PERFECT Junebugs and Georgia Peaches collaboration with Pinup Girl Clothing is?! I genuinely think it's a life goal to work with a brand like Pinup Girl Clothing so I'm totally envious but at the same time so excited about this because these two ladies have the most perfect taste ever and so do the team at PUG. It was hard to choose a dress I love the most out of the collection of dresses so far but I *think* this Dee Dee dress nabs it by just a bit. From the cute pastel yellow (which goes perfectly with the Miss L Fire shoes by the way) to the detail in the dotted trim, this dress is definitely perfect for a 50s daytime look. Also, aren't those puffed sleeves and Peter Pan collar just adorable?

5) 'Marlene' Floral Day dress - Lindy Bop, £34.99
I recently bought two other colour ways in this new Lindy Bop dress (reviews will be up on the blog soon) and I'm in love! I've been looking for a dress in this style for SO long at an affordable price and I was ecstatic when I discovered this new addition to their website. I'm now determined to own all of the patterns and I really hope they design more. How perfect would a pastel pink gingham pattern be? eeek,

6) 'Paris' dress - Bernie Dexter, £110
I'm not sure if I'll ever own a Bernie Dexter dress to be honest which is why this is on my wishlist. They are very expensive so as much as I REALLY WANT a Paris dress, I just can't go splurging £110 on a dress, which doesn't actually look too dissimilar from the new Lindy Bop 'Marlene' which is obviously a lot cheaper. However, this Bernie Dexter comes with lipstick pockets which the idea of makes me so happy. The shelf bust detail is also appealing to me as well as the fact the dress is made in the USA so the quality is bound to be great.

So that's this weeks wishlist! Hopefully, I keep on making this a weekly thing as I know I've been a bit slack on this recently.

Wishlist Wednesday #7

Ugh, I've wanted this top for weeks and I have been 'umming and aaaahing' over it over the past few days. It's such a gorgeous pink colour that goes with so many clothes in my wardrobe, so I'll know it would become a staple choice. I never used to be such a fan of spanish style clothing but the more I see it incorporated into the pin-up world, the more it grows on me
.
2) Betsy Swallow bag by Sourpuss, £43
Sourpuss's range of bags are simply divine; they ooze class and sophistication and make a beautiful addition to anyone's wardrobe. I'm in love with this colour but honestly, I'd love to own all of the colour-ways because I'm selfish and greedy like that. I don't really have much of a bag collection as such, so I'd love to build one and my next bag related splurge will be via Sourpuss!

3) Tropical flamingo brooch by Luxulite, £16
Luxulite are a jewellery brand who are well praised in the pin-up community and rightly so; their eclectic mix of quirky and kitsch brooches, necklaces and earrings are absolutely made to finish off any outfit. I love this brooch in particular, you may have noticed that I'm a lover of flamingos (not sorry) but I'm totally drawn in by these colours.

4) 'Cheronda' blue swing dress by Lindy Bop, £29.99
This gorgeous swing dress reminds me ~in a way~ of the Pinup Girl Clothing 'Harley' dress, probably just because of the neckline. For me, I'd have to add a belt to this dress to break up the colour but aside from that, it's fantastic, cheaper alternative to the more expensive 'Harley'.

5) 'Wanderlust' flamingo bikini by Banned, £25 top & £20 bottoms
I'm hopefully going to be going on holiday later in the year and so I will be looking to get some new bikinis in. Now, Hell Bunny have some beautiful retro bikinis in their summer line this year but then I also discovered Banned's. Yes yes yes, I am obsessed - to the point it's probably tacky - wi

I've just ordered the AMAZING cigarette trousers by Collectif in this print and so now obviously, I have to have this skirt. I don't own any pencil skirts and I want a collection, pronto.

Wednesday Wishlist #7: SHOES!

Love pastels? what, me? no way! Well obviously I have a huge thing for pastel colours, I just always have done for some reason; I find those kind of colours uplifting, summery and just all round adorable. I didn't pick all of these shoes because of their pastel based colours, it was just some kind of sub-concious decision. Anyway, I decided this week to do a shoes special as there are so many shoes that I'm lusting after at the moment.

These are absolutely going straight to the top of my wishlist; I think they might be the prettiest pair of shoes that I've ever seen. I mean as soon as I saw these on the Iron Fist website, it was like I fell in love so I think I've finally discovered that love at the first sight really does exist; plus, they're so obscure and kitsch which is totally perfect for my wardrobe. Personally, I'm not vegan but I know this will be a plus for some people, they are also 100% Vegan friendly shoes!

So I couldn't possibly pass up the flats version to the Cupcake Heel. Again, they are also 100% Vegan. I think they are just as cute and eye-catching at the heel version! I adore the addition of the polka dots too which only makes me want them more.

These are a little bit trashy to me, but GOOD trashy....yes I think there is such a thing as good trashy..let me explain..these are the kind of heels that would make me feel absolutely bad ass, the kitsch print combined with the killer heel gives off a "don't fuck with me" vibe which is something I'm TOTALLY into. I simply need to have these just to assert my ~angry feminist~ status, they just seem like the perfect accomplice to be honest! I've also been a bit of a sucker for glittery pink colours recently so this pair is definitely right up my street.

I'm toning it down a bit with this pair, but these are as equally gorgeous but in a classic and elegent sort of way. I've been after a pair of Miss L Fire shoes for so long now, particularly this style, because they're so classy and grown up and I feel they go with full circle skirts and dresses so so well. I have a similar pair from B.A.I.T Footwear and they make me feel like Betty Draper so that's never a bad thing ;)

Another pair from Miss L Fire, because let's face it, all of their shoes are simply the prettiest; these are so perfect for all pinups, a sweet treat for your feet! To be honest, I'm rarely ever a fan of cherry print clothing/footwear, I'm not sure what it is about it in general but I've really never been a fan; however, these shoes are so sweet I can make an exception.

You might be thinking that these might be very pricey for a pair of shoes that look like Vans, which I guess is why they're specifically on my wishlist, so I can only dream of someone donating a pair to me haha. I don't really have that much casual footwear any more and these look so ideal for really laid back days off work. I'm also a teeny tiny bit obsessed with flamingo print things so obviously they're a big must have in my eyes.

So that's my selection for this week!
What are your favourite shoes? Feel free to leave a comment and I'll get back to you :)

Wednesday Wishlist #6 - Hell Bunny edition!

Hiya! Well, here's another weeks edition of Wednesday Wishlist and this time around I am focusing solely on Hell Bunny. I decided that there were too many items of theirs that I am lusting after so I thought 'sod it' and decided to throw them all into one post.

I absolutely adore this brand for a number of reasons; firstly, how damn affordable they are! All of their range is extremely bank account friendly whilst at the same time still maintaining a high quality standard of clothing. Secondly, they have such a vast range of different patterns and styles of clothes, it's really hard what to choose from, you're always spoilt for choice.

1) Dolly top - £14.99
How gorgeous is this?! It'd look absolutely perfect with a pair of capris or a circle skirt. I like how the sleeves sit just on the shoulders whilst I find the knotted deep v neckline very attractive, it's what stops it from being boring for me. I find the price tag really good for this style of top, I would normally expect to spend around £25, and as I trust the quality of Hell Bunny clothing, I know you'll be getting more than your money's worth.

Made in the same style as the 'Larissa' dress I reviewed previously, the Ariel is taking different approach with the cut and style and instead of being tropical like the Larissa, the Ariel is adding a nautical theme, I've probably mentioned this before but I love nautical style clothing and it can be such a big staple in the pin-up girls wardrobe. I have an anchor tattoo on my forearm - insert Popeye joke here - so I always look the part when I wear a 1950s sailor style outfit. My favourite thing about these style dresses from Hell Bunny, is the belt that is included; I not only use them with these dresses but with other outfits too, they are so well made and long lasting.

A mini dress isn't something that I'm normally particularly comfortable with the idea of but with the weather being quite warm at the moment, I'd like something shorter to wear. Obviously, this one is SO perfect because it has dogs all over it and a cute as hell plaid print. Get in my wardrobe please <3

4) Lacey top - £18.99
I'm always on the hunt for new separates, especially tops as I seem to have a lot more trousers and skirts. I'm in LOVE with this style of neckline, it's so different, yet elegant and sexy. It reminds me of Pinup Girl Clothing's Voodoo Vixen top but with a vintage floral twist. There's nothing not to adore about this cute top!

All of my capris are currently from Primark (yeaaah I've mentioned a million times that they're doing some amazing pieces this summer) and I've stocked up on them whilst I can get my grubby little hands on them. However, they aren't high waisted and this is what I feel I'm missing out on. These cuties are not only high waisted but they have seams down the back of the trouser legs with V-shaped gaps which makes them even more pin-up and adorable.

6) Hummingbird cardigan - £26.99
I haven't bought a cardigan in so long, I'm definitely due to treat myself to a new one and this mint green beauty will definitely be the first on my list. The elegant hummingbird design really stands out for me on this one!

So that's my selection for this week, I hope you liked what I picked!

As you may have read in my previous post, I'm currently on a lifestyle change to lose weight and just generally become fitter. I'd love one of these watches because it'd enable me to keep track of all the exercise I do from working out at the gym, going out for runs and it even tracks your sleeping patterns, counts your steps and monitors how many stairs you walk up. It's generally just a fantastic little gadget that I'd love to have to aid my change.

2. Breville blender - £20 with two bottles, £30 with four bottles
You may have heard of the Nutribullet that every man and his dog seem to be raving about at the moment, but that retails at over £100; this Breville blender does the EXACT same job but it retails at only £20-£30, depending on whether you want two bottles or four. I've been using my parents for over a month now and it's bloody brilliant. All you do is put the ingredients for your smoothie into the bottle, attach the blade and then blend and afterwards you replace the blade with the lid to your bottle and away you go! It makes such minimal mess, unlike most blenders and juicers. Anyway, I now want my own to take with me if I stay away from home, as it is so compact. It's such a BARGAIN, you only have to look at the reviews on Amazon and you'll struggle to find a single disappointed person.

3. Jenny skirt in Mary Blair Umbrellas print by Pinup Girl Clothing - $102
Ugh, is there anything about this collection that I don't love?! This skirt is amazing, I love the colour and the print so much. Thankfully for my bank account, it is out of stock in my size so I wouldn't have been able to have bought this anyway so I'm half sad, half relieved to have not spent money I don't have.

4 Renee dress in Navy Anchor print by Pinup Girl Clothing - $132
Unfortunately, another item that is sold out on the Pinup Girl website but this dress has been on my radar for a long time now. I never got around to buying it because I was a bit scared of the cut out bit, but I'm in love with the print; however, I'm losing weight now and I'm so much more into flashing my midriff (okay to a point) so I really really really want this. So bad. Again, I'm slightly happy it's sold out so my bank account can breathe a sigh of relief.

5. Raspberry Heart 2 shoes by Mel Shoes - £38
They are just so cute and at a sale price of £38 who could resist?! They are so perfectly pin-up and would set off an outfit so remarkably. I have admired these for a long time and I'm most definitely not alone in this. I actually just really love the quality of Mel shoes, I'really love jelly shoes!

Wishlist Wednesday #4

I realised it's probably a bit strange that my wishlist this week contains all pin up and rockabilly inspired items with a random kitchen utensil thrown in. I just like to mix it up sometimes, what can I say?

1. Vivien of Holloway's Kitty Day dress (Seashell Stripe) - £89
I don't have any dresses in this style so as soon as I saw this collection - and this style in particular - on the Viv website all I have done is lusted after it. I imagine myself teaming this with a white waist belt and a Sunjellies bag. I cannot get enough of having day dresses and this is one I have to have in my wardrobe because I adore the pastel colours and rose prints; plus the perks are that the skirt has pockets on it, we all love dresses with pockets!

2. Spiralite Vegetable Spiralite by Spiralz - £29.95
I want this item in my life so desperately as I'm currently on a lifestyle change; I'm going from being a junk food addict whose days used to rely on eating crap to make myself feel better to being a person who is fit and healthy. I love the idea of this machine - it really mixes up healthy food; you can make courgetti spaghetti with it and I just wanna make it because the name is fun to say haha.

3. Make Up Revolution - Iconic Pro lipsticks - £2.49
I think I am right in saying that most bloggers all know and think that Make Up Revolution are an outstanding high street make up brand.  I recently bought a few bits from their collection after having not done so in a while and I decided to try some of their lipsticks. I bought a colour from their basic lipstick range in which their lipsticks cost only a £1 and I have to say that the colour pay off and staying power is incredible and well worth more than £1. I'm bewildered as to how they do it really. Moreover, the range of colours in their lipstick collection is vast and it's so tempting to try them all but they do all add up, unfortunately; my online basket went up to £60 from wanting to try so many items. The packaging for the Iconic Pro lipsticks is so gorgeous - gold and black which is so professional and sleek looking, so I'm really eager to try this range.

4. Flamingo brooch by Deer Arrow - $19 AUS
You may or may not have seen my previous review on Deer Arrow's sundae brooch, but I know I completely raved about it - and them. It was my first ever brooch and it is super cute and beautifully painted. I love shedding light on smaller businesses, especially ones who take the time to hand make and put love and care into their products which is clear that Deer Arrow do. Now on my wishlist is this flamingo brooch, I'm in love with kitsch items and flamingos so this brooch and me? yep, we're meant to be.

5. Ginger Atomic Flamingo Wing Bust dress by Collectif - £57.50
I saw this dress on the beautiful Diablo Rose and I knew I had to have it. Granted, I know it won't look as good on me and I will have to wait until I lose more weight until I get it (for myself really) but it's simply a gorgeous dress. Collectif have such a great selection in their summer range and there's a lot of pale blues and pinks which I am adoring. I love that this dress comes with an adjustable straps so you can wear in differents ways to mix things up and the print is just adorable.

6. Ahoy Skirt Sailor skirt by Collectif - £35
I need to up my skirt game so badly; I don't own any pencil skirts and being a fan of nautical style clothing, this is one I've got my eye on. It's definitely going to be one I'll be saving for as I don't have £35 to just spend on a skirt but I know I'll be able to wear this one for both smart and casual occasions. I do need to get sexier clothes into my wardrobe and this skirt is perfect!

Wishlist Wednesday #3: Voodoo Vixen edition!

I've decided to mix things up a little bit this week and focus on one of my favourite vintage repro brands. To be honest, one of their dresses is always going to be on my wishlist of some kind, so I thought why not focus completely on their dresses this week?

I love this brand for a number of reasons; one being that they are completely body positive, catering to ladies of many different sizes and I know many plus sized women who rave about their Plus Size range. Secondly, the variety you get with Voodoo Vixen in terms of ranges of styles of dresses, patterns and the like, is incredible! I so found it hard to pick just 6 dresses for my wishlist.

1) Nikki dress - £49.99
So I've been absolutely adoring this dress for a some time now. I've yet to own a turquoise dress in my wardrobe (apart from my darling Birdie dress from Pinup Couture which I had to sell *cries*) so this would make an interesting change for me; likewise, the rhombi pattern is also different for me which I love and it sort of, in a subtle way, reminds me of Pinup Girl Clothing's Harlequin prints.

2) Chelsea dress - £42.99
Ahhh gosh, I'm so in love with everything about this dress! Okay so firstly, I just LOVE pink gingham, it's so summery and cute; I want to go to the park and eat picnics in this dress. I've wanted it for ages but have never bought it due to saving. Another aspect of this dress I like is the neck; a jewel neckline with a decorative bow tie of the side really makes me think of the Pink Ladies in Grease.  I love a dress that comes with a belt too because being pulled in at the waist is an important aspect of a dress for me.

3) Selena dress - £49.99
This taffeta dress comes with a gorgeous pastel green background - and as you might know, I'm a sucker for pastel colours - and black polka dots. Personally, I find this dress to be a little more fancy so it's always nice to have one of those for special occasions. I don't have many straight fitting dresses, so again, I like to change things up and go for a different style.

4) Angie dress - £30.99
I spotted this dress in a vintage reproduction shop in Brighton about 3 weeks ago and I instantly fell in love. As a girl who is totally in love with floral patterns, especially those that are pastel coloured and also resemble Cath Kidston's signature prints, this has instantly become my favourite and most lusted after VV dress. Amazingly, it's at a bargain price of £30.99 and one I will be going to back to, perhaps on payday. I'm particularly a fan of the rusched waist and I know this is the perfect summer dress for me! *get in my closet NOW* I'm gutted this is sold out in my size on the Voodoo Vixen website, but I'm sure a little search on the web will turn something up.

I've mentioned this a million times in my previous blog posts but I just adore kitsch prints; Voodoo Vixen are amazing for these and they've really hit the nail on the head with this dress. I love the colour and the black edge and belt finishes the dress off so neatly but the other appealing part to this dress for me is the neck. The martini glasses are just so cute!

6) Prarie dress - £49.99
Ahh the colours on this dress are just so amazing! I imagine you'd catch a lot of peoples eyes in this and for good reasons. The cat print is really adorable and I find the red incredibly bold. However, I particularly love the style of this dress the most. The fold down collar is super striking and the 3 1/4 length sleeves are perfect as I don't always feel comfortable with having my arms out. I really do love these styles of dresses and combined with this print, I know Voodoo Vixen are on to a winner with this one.

It's now my 2nd Wishlist Wednesday and this week - for once - I have zero dresses on this list! shock horror. This was almost gonna be an all accessories or gadget wishlist but of course a Collectif skirt had to sneak in there.

Anyway, about 75% of my salary is going into my savings account so I can't actually afford to spend much these days; so my wishlists will definitely be growing stronger than ever.

  1. Erstwilder - The Schauzner and Klaus brooch - £17.50
I'm not sure if I've mentioned this or not before (I don't know why I would have but I AM obsessed with dogs), but Schnauzers are my absolute favourite breed of dog. I adore them, Most of the time, they look how I feel; a bit grumpy. However, their cute faces and beard and usually amazing grooming are what make me love them. My brother has a miniature but she's very very shy. Anyway, I feel like this brooch is everything I need for my collection and I have never ever bought anything from Erstwilder yet, so eventually this will be my first <3
  2. Sunjellies - Molly bag - £10Ahhhh I've been utterly lusting after these bags for a few months now, especially since the weather has slowly been getting nicer. It's adorable and would complete any outfit. All colours and variations please!
  3. Collectif - Mary Vintage Polka Dot Swing Skirt - £58.50
It's not a skirt that immediately caught my attention and I never really thought much of it, but the more that I see this style of skirt on some of the wonderful ladies I follow on Instagram, the more I want one myself! It's really grown on me and I'm so fond on this baby blue colour too.
  4. Kateslittlestore (Etsy) - Feminist necklace - £14
I'm really getting into my kitsch style jewellery recently and Etsy is always a fantastic place to go to as you're generally supporting smaller businesses. Anyone that knows me or follows me on any kind of social media knows that I am a massive feminist; one that is super passionate and gets very hot headed and opinionated. I feel like this necklace would be the perfect match to my entire life ha!
  5. Nikon - AF-S NIKKOR 50MM f/1.8 Lens - £140
I feel like I'm really upping my photography game recently and I'm constantly looking at ways to improve myself. An investment in a new camera was one of the best decisions I've made because I've found a hobby that I didn't know I was going to be so interested in. I studied photography at A-Level and I really didn't care much for it at the time; but I have retained some of that information I learned so it's been fun getting back into experimenting and applying old knowledge. Anyway, after some research and knowing that I'm mainly going to be practising portrait photography, I found this is a good lens to make a next step with. It has a wider aperture which means I'll be able to achieve a greater shallow depth of field. I won't be buying this any time soon but it's one that I'll be going to in the future.
  6. Macbook Pro  - from £899For a long time I was definitely very disinterested in having a Macbook. I didn't really need one as I wasn't creative in my life at all. Since starting to blog, I feel like the creativity in me has increased tenfold and especially with now practising photography, and hopefully soon to be YouTube videos, I'd ideally like to work with Apple software as I find it fantastic. It'll feel more professional but with programmes such as Final Cut Pro - which is what I learnt to use whilst studying film at college - it'll make my life a lot easier. So now I know it'll be much more than just an internet machine, I would love to have one.

  7. That's it for this week. What are you currently wanting?

October wishlist: Voodoo Vixen!

If I had the money, I would a 1000% buy the entire contents of this website, in my size, and wear nothing else ever again (okay and Collectif Clothing too).

My mind has been pre-occupied with staring at the clothes on the Collectif website really, that I'd forgotten about other vintage reproduction sites.

The first items that made me internally scream "I must have this now, right now" are the Isabella and Marietta cardigans.

They're so pretty and would make an amazing addition to a lovely flowing skirt.

Keeping on the theme of red and black, this Connie dress is so beautiful and I don't have anything like this at all in my wardrobe. I am so in love with the kitsch glasses design, and I love a dress that covers the shoulders as I'm not a fan of mine at all. Essentially, I'm all about dresses that you can nip in at the waist with a lovely little black belt.

Finally, the final item on this wishlist is the prettiest and summery (alright I know it's October but it still feels like summer outside) Finley dress. The colours are incredible, yellow and purple work so well together. I feel like I don't own enough clothes with colour - this is starting to change - as I mostly feel more comfortable with navy, black, light blues and so on...this dress would be perfect for bringing me out of my comfort zone.
