Wishlist Wednesday #12

I haven't done a wishlist in a while so welcome back! I haven't bought anything from Pinup Girl Clothing in such a long time, it's almost depressing me. However, since I've booked a trip to L.A in January I've decided to not import anything and just go to their boutique when I'm out there. It's ridiculously tempting to just order right away as there are so many bits that I'm currently crrrraaaaving.

1) Betsey Johnson, Call Me! Bag - $100
Uh, just look at it? a phone bag? this is so ridiculously kitsch and I need it now. I reckon this is a 'stop in the street and mention how good it is' type of bag because I would definitely be doing that if I saw someone else wearing this. However, retailing at $100, it's one I'll definitely be saving a while for.

2) Betsey Johnson, Just Your Type Typewriter Pure - $114
This bag is totally trashy in allll of the right ways. It's attention grabbing, stylish but also practical at the same time. I'm a total lover of loud prints like this, I guess I just like the attention huh? Anyway, not only is it cute but it's large enough to carry a lot of your belongings around making this perfect for me for work (not that I need an excuse).

3) Match Accessories, 'D' Disney Inspired Brooch - $22
I can't help but want a beautiful Disney type brooch in my life. Blue and glittery, it's the perfect companion to brighten up any outfit and it's simply gorgeous.

4) Deadly Dames, Darling Dame Fetish Skirt - $98
I've been noticing this skirt floating around on a few blogs recently and I wasn't aware of it's existence until I'd read about it. It looks so similar to the Jenny skirt but this has a shorter hemline and with pockets. Yay, pockets! I'm not entirely sure I can ever pull off red but the 'fetish' print has totally sold me. It's definitely one that'll get weird comments and that's what I like.

5) Burlesque Jenny Skirt - $98
Keeping on with the risque theme, I've had my eye on the dress version of this skirt for a good while now and have just noticed the skirt too. I'm a big fan of the Jenny skirt anyway, but this print is so dreamy!

6) Blue Castle Print Jenny Skirt - $98
Another one I've been admiring for a while but unfortunately is sold out in my size. If I had it I'd pair it with the Peasant top, which sadly, is also sold out in my size, and the 'D' brooch I mentioned above. I'm imagining the outfit together in my head and it sounds so perfect, like a princess. Here's to hoping they get restocked.

So those are my current wishlist picks. What are you after?

Taking A Trip To My First Vintage Fair Featuring Harley

I'm writing this a few weeks late now as I've had a lot of nonsense go down in my personal life but here we go! Ahhhh what a great weekend this was. I decided to pop on my yellow Pinup Girl Clothing 'Harley' dress as it had been a good while since I last wore it. This dress is an absolute dream; the neckline is gorgeous and the dress flows out into a full gathered skirt so beautifully. I could have given it a good iron like any decent pin up would but I didn't have the time and honestly, I'm just rubbish at ironing.

Despite the weather being a bit iffy recently, I threw caution to the wind and headed out the door on the Sunday morning without a coat. Along with my parents who have become avid vintage fans like myself, we drove down to the Cutty Sark Gardens in Greenwich where a vintage fair was on.

On one of the vintage furniture stalls, I found this stunning flamingo cabinet. I know it's a little tacky but I fell in love with it so much. However, at around £250, it really wasn't going anywhere with me.

Unfortunately, I did feel that the fair was lacking in an amount of stalls but there was a nice mix between vintage clothing, home ware, accessories, luggage and even some reproduction clothing. so you weren't too hard up for choice.
On the Cutty Sark Gardens itself, there were free taster dancing lessons on throughout the day. I even got pulled into one myself by a lovely guy and it was so much fun being thrown around (sort of as I tried to keep my modesty from showing as my skirt blew up) and it really made me want to try dancing some more.

We moved on from the Gardens and made our way to Greenwich market where there were more vintage and art stalls to enjoy. We had a little wander around all the stalls, took in the smell of the lovely food stalls and contemplated spending far too much money on brooches. Thankfully I resisted!

Overall, it was a lovely morning spent in Greenwich. I only wish there were more stalls and the weather was better so there may have been a bigger turn out. I only look forward to going to more vintage fairs in the future.

Wishlist Wednesday #8

1) Regina Vintage Polka Dot dress by Collectif, £25 (on sale at the moment!)
One of the things I've loved about Collectif's Spring/Summer collection this year is how much of it is pastel colour based. If you read last week's Wishlist Wednesday, you might have read about my complete obsession over pastel colours so it's not really surprising that *here I am* again still going on about it, woops. Anyway, this dress is utterly gorgeous and although it's utterly saddening to think it won't be that long until Summer is over, I am determined to have this in my life to see me through the last warm-ish days we have left in the UK. A key feature of this dress which I adore is the sleeves which gives off a bolero style vibe.

2) Erstwilder's Dolly's Diner Americana Red brooch - Audrey Star's Boutique, £16.95
I've yet to own a Erstwilder brooch but I've been lusting after them for what feels like FOREVER. They are always so cute; a mixture of kitsch and quirky designs that are ideal for adding fun to any
outfit. I found it hard to pick just one of these brooches so please just assume that their ENTIRE collection is on my wishlist, except that this diner one is definitely at the top of this list right now.

3) Miss L Fire Nevada Pastel sandal - Campbell-Crafts, £80
Miss L Fire shoes are just far too expensive for me, wahhhh. I know I'll invest in a pair at some point but I can never really justify spending the money. I bloody love this pair and even though they are on sale at £80, I still can't afford them. It's just one of those things you have to lust at from afar. To be fair, I do that with most of their shoe collection but I really love the mixture of pastel colours on this pair.

4) Yellow Dee Dee dress by Pinup Couture - Pinup Girl Clothing, $160
Uh, can we talk about how PERFECT Junebugs and Georgia Peaches collaboration with Pinup Girl Clothing is?! I genuinely think it's a life goal to work with a brand like Pinup Girl Clothing so I'm totally envious but at the same time so excited about this because these two ladies have the most perfect taste ever and so do the team at PUG. It was hard to choose a dress I love the most out of the collection of dresses so far but I *think* this Dee Dee dress nabs it by just a bit. From the cute pastel yellow (which goes perfectly with the Miss L Fire shoes by the way) to the detail in the dotted trim, this dress is definitely perfect for a 50s daytime look. Also, aren't those puffed sleeves and Peter Pan collar just adorable?

5) 'Marlene' Floral Day dress - Lindy Bop, £34.99
I recently bought two other colour ways in this new Lindy Bop dress (reviews will be up on the blog soon) and I'm in love! I've been looking for a dress in this style for SO long at an affordable price and I was ecstatic when I discovered this new addition to their website. I'm now determined to own all of the patterns and I really hope they design more. How perfect would a pastel pink gingham pattern be? eeek,

6) 'Paris' dress - Bernie Dexter, £110
I'm not sure if I'll ever own a Bernie Dexter dress to be honest which is why this is on my wishlist. They are very expensive so as much as I REALLY WANT a Paris dress, I just can't go splurging £110 on a dress, which doesn't actually look too dissimilar from the new Lindy Bop 'Marlene' which is obviously a lot cheaper. However, this Bernie Dexter comes with lipstick pockets which the idea of makes me so happy. The shelf bust detail is also appealing to me as well as the fact the dress is made in the USA so the quality is bound to be great.

So that's this weeks wishlist! Hopefully, I keep on making this a weekly thing as I know I've been a bit slack on this recently.
